Hiba obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta in 2025 and articled at a national full-service firm before deciding to specialize in labour and employment law at Nugent Law. Drawn to the human side of legal issues, she is excited to help clients navigate complex workplace challenges.

During law school, Hiba was a member of the Editorial Committee of the Alberta Law Review, volunteered with the Human Rights Project of Student Legal Services, and served as the Chief Tribune of the Discipline, Interpretation, and Enforcement Board of the University of Alberta Students’ Union. She also completed a summer placement with a provincial administrative body where she gained valuable exposure to workplace-related matters. Hiba was the recipient of several awards during her studies, including the Howard T. Emery Scholarship and the Faculty of Law Undergraduate Scholarship.

Prior to attending law school, Hiba obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta. During this time, Hiba completed an honours thesis and volunteered at a lab researching the mental health of youth in Edmonton.

Outside of work, Hiba enjoys running, getting lost in a good book, and indulging in reality TV shows.
